Pledge to invest in Energy Garden
To date, Energy Garden has completed two community share offers, over-raising on both:
2021: Our first community share offer raised £177,000 with 165 investors to support the installation of a 231 kWp solar on a train depot in Streatham. This is the UK’s first community-owned energy project on the railway.
2022: Our second share offer raised £862,134 with 383 investors. This will allow us to install two new 400kWp systems on rooftops in and around London, bringing our total generating capacity to <1MW.
2023: Agreed contracts with train operator Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) to install solar panels at three of its main depots, totalling 2.5MWp of new community-owned rooftop solar. Work has now commenced on the installation of our second community-owned solar project at GTR Bedford Cauldwell.

a London-wide energy and gardening Community Benefit Society;
acquiring and owning renewable energy assets;
greening London’s transportation infrastructure;
empowering communities to take positive action;
educating and training young people in food growing, healthy living and energy;
improving air quality and biodiversity; and
earning a projected 4-6% per annum return.
