Our partnership with Pimlico Toy Library

Pimlico Toy Library (PTL) is a registered charity which runs a community library offering play sessions and toy loans to children and their carers in Pimlico. All families with children 0-11 years of age are welcome. Play and toy-loan sessions are provided throughout the year for children 0-5 year olds and their parent / carer together. The timetable does change during the school holidays when activities are appropriate for 0 - 11 year olds and their parent / carer.

The latest information on sessions can be found on their Facebook page here. To find out more, or to sign up, please contact the Toy Librarian or Coordinator at sheilaptl@gmail.com.

We are excited to announce this collaboration with our neighbour in SW1 which will provide access to a garden for young children and their carers.

PTL sees the need for play provision as being as strong now as when they were founded in 1983. They are on the lookout for ways to deliver more diverse sessions, particularly nature-focused ones that allow children and their grownups to be outdoors when the weather is nice.

As new arrivals in the neighbourhood, we are keen to connect with local organisations and offer our services of gardening for wellbeing, solar development and youth training. Having recently completed the garden build at our office, we are ready to welcome the Pimlico community into our space.

Our garden at Ebury Edge is a multi-function space, with outdoor facilities including a sizeable container garden, a polytunnel, and a children’s play area; indoor facilities include a community hall, kitchen, toilets with disabled access and nappy-changing facilities. The garden is both fully accessible and fully secure. More information on the garden, including photos and contact information can be found here.

Gardening sessions for children and carers in Pimlico

We’ll be running monthly sessions at our garden in Ebury Edge for children aged 0-4 throughout term time and sessions during school holidays for those up to age 11. Children and their carers are invited to come:

-Get their hands dirty, grow food and explore the garden
-Learn lots of new things about nature
-Meet new friends

We invite any carers with children enrolled at Pimlico Toy Library to sign up. The first session is already full but you can always join the list for future sessions. Join PTL and book by emailing sheilaptl@gmail.com or email us at info@energygarden.org.uk to find out more.
