What is a BioBlitz?
A BioBlitz is a form of citizen science where there is a concerted effort to document biodiversity within a particular setting. We’ll be documenting biodiversity at Hampstead Heath Station Garden and the World Peace Garden.
The City Nature Challenge is a global challenge to upload observations to iNaturalist to generate a robust snapshot of the living things within a particular city, to then be used in future research.
How to Participate?
1. RSVP here so we know you’re coming
2. Download the apps iNaturalist and Seek by iNaturalist and create an account
3. Join the Energy Garden Biodiversity 2023 Project on iNaturalist
4. Join the City Nature Challenge 2023 - London Project on iNaturalist
5. On the day, we will go through how to use the apps together and have extra resources to help with identification – no prior expertise is needed!
