FOUNDER & CEO

Agamemnon is Director & CEO of Energy Garden, Co-CEO of Repowering London, and Director of the three Brixton Energy Solar cooperatives. He co-founded industry advocacy body Community Energy England and advised the UK government on community energy policy. In 2014, he was made a London Leader; in 2016, he was awarded an MBE for services to community energy; and in 2017, he was named one of the 51 Most Impactful Green Leaders globally by CSR Congress. Previously, he was Director for Renewable Energy Project Finance and Social Responsibility at a financial institution.

COO

Martin has over 20 years’ consulting experience across financial markets and sustainability. Most recently, Martin worked as Commercial Director for Northern Europe at EcoAct, supporting large corporate clients in their transition towards Net Zero. Throughout his career, Martin has specialised on delivering organisational, technology, regulatory and strategic change for clients including HSBC, Natwest Group, Bunzl plc, Spectris plc, European Investment Bank Group. Martin holds a MSc in Global Energy and Climate Policy (Distinction) from SOAS, University of London

SENIOR EDUCATION COORDINATOR

Leila has over 17 years' experience working in the education sector as a Teacher of Geography and HIstory, Co-ordinator of KS3 History, Head of Humanities and History Lead across a number of East London Schools. She has been a volunteer Director of Banister House Solar, London's largest Community owned solar panel project on social housing, since 2014. She is the Founder of Black British Studies, an online school specialising in delivering diverse and inclusive webinars, workshops and flexible online courses to adults and children.

YOUTH TRAINING COORDINATOR

Sian Palmer is the Energy Garden Youth Training Coordinator and Lead Facilitator. She has worked across Africa and the UK focusing on gender and race and brings her skills in group facilitation with her background in Drama and Movement Therapy (MA University of London).

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Anna is a recent graduate with a BA Hons in Geography and Economics and is now working as a Community Engagement Officer at Energy Garden. She hopes to continue to pursue a career in the non-profit sector and an MA with a focus on sustainability and urban planning in the future.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER & HORTICULTURAL LEAD

Beatrice grew up and worked on an organic teaching farm in rural Ontario. She has grown food her whole life and has taught children, adults, and aspiring farmers how to grow their own food and start their own farms. Beatrice holds a BA in Urban Studies from Concordia University. Both her studies and farming experience have given her insight into the importance of strengthening urban food literacy, building green spaces that are relevant to the community, and increasing biodiversity within the city.

BIODIVERSITY LEAD

Ellen recently completed Imperial College London’s MSc Environmental Technology programme. Her thesis project was done in collaboration with Energy Garden, working to trial a method of quantifying the biodiversity effects of urban gardening initiatives. Prior to this, Ellen completed a BSc at McGill University in Biology with a specialisation in biodiversity and systematics. Following her graduation, Ellen spent a summer living at McGill University’s Gault Nature Reserve as a research intern completing fieldwork and trail maintenance projects. She then held various positions at WWF-Canada in donor relations and fundraising prior to moving to London in 2021.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Callum recently completed his MSc in Sustainable Urbanism from The Bartlett; and previously studied BA Politics, Economics & Philosophy at Goldsmiths, UOL. He is interested in the conditions and spaces which empower strangers to come together, collaborate and communicate. Similarly, experiences as a chef and as a freelance gardener in London impressed upon him how important it is to connect people in cities to nature, to the food they eat, and to their local community.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Morwenna holds a BA Hons in English Language and Linguistics. She has previous experience working as a freelance writer and is passionate about creating local resilience and fostering people’s connection to nature. Morwenna believes that connecting communities to their green spaces is key to cultivating a sense of belonging and place, she is excited to facilitate this through her work.
